Cyber Security Expo 2022 and IET ICT Conference 2022
Cyber Security Expo 2022, 17 and 18 September 2002
The Cyber Security Expo, hosted by the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau at Hong Kong Science Park and organized by the Hong Kong Police Force, presented a series of fun and educational activities in order to enhance public awareness and understanding of cyber security. The 2-day expo attracted over 3,600 students, teachers, parents, and technology professionals. In addition to 31 exhibition and interactive booths that featured 5G robots, drone racing and VR games, there were also cyber security seminars and STEM workshops.
Motorola Solutions supported this important event by sponsoring radios for event management and communications. In recognition of our support, Hong Kong Commissioner of Police Mr. Raymond Siu presented Motorola Solutions Hong Kong’s Country Director Ms. Jo Tse with a souvenir.
IET ICT Conference 2022, 13 October 2022
Motorola Solutions was a diamond sponsor of this year’s ICT Conference. Organized by the Informatics and Control Technologies section of The Institution of Engineering and Technology Hong Kong, it is a flagship event that brings together government officials, key industry professionals, and university researchers to discuss potential policies, opportunities, and risks, as well as the latest technology innovations that might support Hong Kong’s development as a 21st century smart city.
Motorola Solutions’ Senior Manager Business Development Asia Pacific Mr. Alvin Lim delivered a speech on “Safety Reimagined for Smart Cities of the Future”. Alvin explained technologies enable us to be faster, smarter, more focused and resilient. By combining various technologies that help to keep us safe – voice, video, data, and analytics – solutions can be created to address challenges faced by cities today while keeping an eye toward the future. After all, a city can only be smart and thriving if everyone is safe and secure.
